The Forest House project is inspired by the Farnsworth House, a single-family home designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and built between 1946 and 1951. An example of simplicity and perfection in construction details.

That same spirit can be found in Doi’s D1 furniture system — an exercise in synthesis and economy of language, where the product has been reduced to its essence, allowing function to define its form.
